UptoSkills Arena: Daily Coding Challenges, XP and Aura

How the Arena works — a new coding problem every day, a harder set every week, one big monthly challenge, plus a practice library. Exact XP and Aura numbers, streaks and ranks included.

Updated 21 Oct 2026

Short answer: The Arena is UptoSkills' coding practice ground — a free daily problem, a harder weekly set, one big monthly challenge, and a 400+ problem practice library covering arrays, hash maps, SQL and more. Solving pays XP (your platform rank) and Aura (Aura Shop currency), with hidden tests across 14 languages.

XP counts toward your main platform level and the Pro cash race. Aura is capped at 700 a month; XP is capped at 1,000 a day and 7,000 a week so the Arena can't outrun the rest of the leaderboard. Pro members get +10% Aura on every solve.

Solve your first problem of the India-time day on time and you also get a +20 XP streak bonus; clear every daily of a week on the day it opened and you get +10 bonus Aura for that week.

Arena ranks

Lifetime Arena XP (from solving — practice-library XP doesn't count toward this) sets your rank, which gates the Arena-priced goodies in the Aura Shop:

A late solve pays half the normal reward and never counts for the streak bonus — it's there so one missed day doesn't mean a zero, not to replace solving on time.

The problem page

Arena problem page with the statement on the left, a code editor on the right, and Run and Submit buttons

Every problem shows its statement, constraints, example tests and tags on the left, with a code editor on the right — 14 languages, hidden tests you can't see, and a visible Testcase/Result panel for the examples. Python, JavaScript and TypeScript run instantly in your browser for Run; Submit always goes to the judge. Tabs: Problem, Submissions, Discussion and AI coach.

Common questions

Do I need Pro to play the Arena?

No. The daily, weekly and monthly problems and the practice library are free for everyone. Pro adds the archive, AI coach, every hint/editorial and priority judging.

Does Arena XP count toward my normal level?

Yes — it's the same XP pool as Leagues, capped per day and week so it can't dominate the main leaderboard on its own.

What happens if I solve a problem late?

You get half the normal XP and Aura if you're inside the catch-up window (3 days free, 7 days Pro), and no streak bonus.

Can I practice without affecting my rank?

Yes — the practice library pays XP but not Aura, and doesn't count toward your Arena rank, so it's pure practice.
