Coming from LeetCode or HackerRank?
You already know how this works. The Arena keeps the parts you are used to and pays you back for the practice you do anyway.
How the Arena comparesFeels familiar
- Problem statement, examples and constraints
- Run on the examples or your own input
- Hidden tests decide: you see which one failed
- Easy, medium and hard, the usual interview topics
- 14 languages, plus SQL (MySQL-friendly)
What is new here
- A new problem every day at midnight India time
- A harder set every week and one big monthly challenge
- Every first solve pays XP and Aura
- Aura buys real UptoSkills goodies
- Free account: no card, one tap with Google
What you win for solving
Rewards are paid once per problem, on your first accepted submit. Harder problems and longer tracks pay more.
XP on every first solve
10–60 XP for a daily, 15–80 for a weekly and up to 150 for the monthly challenge. XP counts on the league leaderboards, including the Pro rewards race.
Aura for real goodies
5–20 Aura a daily, up to 50 for the monthly. Spend it in the Aura shop on stickers, mugs, caps, bottles, T-shirts and bags.
A streak that pays
Solve on the day to grow your Arena streak. The first on-time solve of each day adds a +20 XP streak bonus. Solve every daily of a week for +10 Aura more.
Ranks that cut prices
Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond. Only solving raises your rank, and each rank makes its goodies much cheaper in Aura.
Practise by topic
Every open problem, grouped the way interviews ask them.
Questions
Is the Arena free?
Yes. A free account solves every daily and weekly problem and the monthly challenge, earns XP and Aura and keeps a streak. Pro adds the AI coach, the full archive for practice, a longer catch-up window, a weekly bonus problem, 10% more Aura and priority judging.
I already practise on LeetCode or HackerRank. Why the Arena?
Keep them. The Arena adds what they do not: problems on an India-time calendar (one every day, a harder set every week, one big challenge every month), and every first accepted solve pays XP and Aura that you spend on real UptoSkills goodies. Your practice also sits next to the jobs, internships and AI interviews on UptoSkills.
Is it like LeetCode or HackerRank?
Close to both. You read a problem, write a full program in your language, run the examples or your own input and submit to hidden tests, like HackerRank (programs read the input and print the answer). Easy, medium and hard problems cover the same interview topics: arrays, strings, hash maps, two pointers, sliding window, binary search, dynamic programming, graphs and more.
Which languages can I use?
Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, C++, C, C#, Go, Rust, Kotlin, Scala, Swift, PHP and Ruby. SQL problems take standard SQL, and MySQL habits like IFNULL, YEAR() and LIMIT 5, 10 work too.
What do I get?
XP counts on the league leaderboards (including the Pro rewards race) and raises your Arena rank. Aura buys UptoSkills goodies: stickers, mugs, caps, bottles, T-shirts, bags. Reach a goodie’s Arena rank and it costs far less Aura: about 1.5 to 5 months of steady solving instead of up to 7 without the rank.
Who can solve?
Student accounts. Anyone can read the problems and the leaderboard.
Do I need to install anything?
No. The editor, the runner and the judge are in the browser and on our servers. It works on a phone too, and in the UptoSkills app.
Why did my code fail on a hidden test?
Usually a slow idea on a big input or an edge case (empty input, duplicates, negatives). The verdict tells you which test and why; Pro’s coach explains it in plain words.
