AI Interview vs AI Assessment: Which One Should You Use?

The assessment tests what you know. The interview tests how you explain it. Here is which to use, in what order, and how to spend your free attempts well.

Short answer: The AI Assessment measures what you know with scored questions. The AI Mock Interview measures how well you explain it out loud. You need both, and you should do the assessment first.

Use the assessment when…

  • You do not know where to start revising
  • You want to know if you are actually ready for a screening test
  • You need a study plan — the report recommends the exact Leagues to take
  • Your first round is a written or online test

Use the mock interview when…

  • You know the material but freeze when asked to explain it
  • You have an interview coming up in the next week or two
  • You want to be asked about your own resume projects
  • You need to practise HR and behavioural questions, not just technical

The order that works

  1. Assessment first — find the gaps
  2. Free Leagues — close the gaps
  3. Interview last — rehearse explaining what you now know

Doing the interview first is not wasted, but you will spend it discovering you do not know the material — which the assessment would have told you faster and in more detail.

How to spend one free attempt of each

You get one of each free, so make them count:

  • Assessment: use it on your core subject, the one your target role tests hardest. Not the one you are best at
  • Interview: upload your resume and set your honest experience level. A flattering setting produces a useless report
💡 If you need more than one attempt at either, Pro gives you 5 of each for ₹199 across 3 months — and drops your certificate from ₹499 to ₹199 at the same time.

Common questions

Which is harder?

Most people find the interview harder, because there is nowhere to hide behind a multiple-choice option.

Can I do both on the same day?

Yes. Assessment in the morning, interview after you have read the report.

Do both give me a report?

Yes. The assessment report also recommends Leagues to fix your weak topics.

Do they cost credits even if I quit halfway?

A credit is consumed when a session starts, so finish what you start.

Start with the assessment → Find your gaps free · Then rehearse
