CODEWHIRL is an AI-powered coding competition that challenges participants to combine prompt engineering, UI/UX design, logical reasoning, coding fundamentals, and teamwork. The competition focuses not only on raw coding ability, but on how effectively participants collaborate with and utilize AI tools to build solutions.
The competition consists of two rounds. Round 1 — Online Elimination is an individual 30-minute assessment featuring 30 MCQs covering AI fundamentals, AI coding assistants, prompt engineering, UI/UX, HTML/CSS/JavaScript basics, and logical reasoning.
Round 2 — Offline Finale takes place at GTB4CEC, where participants are randomly paired into teams of two. Each team receives a random AI tool, a time limit, and a common project to build. Teams are evaluated on UI/UX Design, Functionality, AI Utilization & Prompting, and Teamwork & Collaboration.
