Academics, College Notices and Hosting Events as a Student
Read your college notices and academic calendar in one place, and host your own community event with sponsorship support.
Short answer: Academics shows your college's calendar and notices, posted by your faculty. My Events is where you host your own community events or track ones you registered for.
Academics
Three parts on one page:
- Academic Calendar — exams, holidays, placement drives, faculty leave and custom events, colour-coded, in Month, Week or Agenda view
- Upcoming Events — the next dated items as a plain list, with who posted each
- College Notices — announcements from your faculty, newest first
📌 A notice marked High or Urgent by your faculty is flagged more prominently. Those are the ones with deadlines attached.
Why is my Academics page empty?
Because this content comes from your college. It fills up only if your college is on UptoSkills and a faculty member added you to their College Hub using an invite link. Signing up on your own does not link you to a college.
My Events
Two tabs — Hosted Events for events you run, and My Registrations for ones you signed up to. Four counters track upcoming events, lifetime attendees, events hosted and pending approvals.
Hosting your own event
Host New Event opens the creation flow for workshops, competitions and community sessions. Events go through an approval step before publishing, which is what the Pending counter tracks.
The partnership programme
For larger community events there is support available — goodies and sponsorship. The page links to MOU Requirements, the Organization Policy and an Apply for Sponsorship form. Read the MOU requirements before applying; they set out what is expected of you as an organiser.
🎓 Hosting a real event is one of the strongest things a student can put on a resume. It shows organising ability, which is much harder to fake than a course completion.
Do I need permission to host an event?
Events go through an approval step before they publish. The Pending Approvals counter shows where yours has got to.
Can I get sponsorship for a college fest?
The partnership programme is aimed at community events above a certain size. Check the MOU requirements on the page for the current threshold and conditions.
Who can see events I host?
Approved events are published to the platform's events listing, where any student can find and register for them.
My college posts notices but I cannot see them.
Check that you joined through your faculty's invite link. Students who registered independently are not attached to a College Hub and will not receive its notices.
