Register for hackathons, build or join a team, and follow the phase timeline from idea submission through to pitching.
Short answer: My Competitions lists every hackathon and competition you registered for, each with a phase-by-phase timeline showing exactly where the event has got to and what is due next.
Reading a competition card

Filter the list by Event Type and Event Mode when you have several running at once.
The phase timeline
This is the most useful thing on the page. A large hackathon runs through phases like:
- Registration
- Team Formation
- Idea Submission
- Prototype Submission
- Voting
- Jury Evaluation
- Official Invitation for Grand Finale
- Prepare Pitching for Investors
- Live Pitching to Investors
Different events have different counts — some run four phases, some nine. Hover any phase for its dates and details.
⏰ Missing a submission window is the single most common way teams drop out. Check the timeline weekly, not the day before.
Teams
Depending on where the event is in its timeline, the card shows Create/Join Team or Manage Team. Solo entries are allowed in many events, but a hackathon that reaches prototype and pitching phases is hard to carry alone.
Why these are worth your time
- You end up with something you built, which beats another course line on a resume
- Recruiters watch the leaderboards, and finalists get noticed
- Many carry prizes, and some end with pitching to actual investors

Are hackathons free to enter?
Yes. Registration is free, and some carry prizes.
Can I join without a team?
Usually yes — most events have a Team Formation phase where you can find teammates. Check the specific event's rules.
Where do I find new competitions?
The Compete menu in the top bar. My Competitions only shows ones you already registered for.
Do I get a certificate?
Participation and winner certificates are issued for many events and appear under My Certificate.
What is a Startupthon?
A longer competition built around a business idea rather than only code — it runs through idea and prototype phases to investor pitching.
