About the Competition
The New Build-A-Thon Concept: Unlock’D is a fast-paced, 24-hour virtual Build-A-Thon designed around the principles of agile development and milestone-based execution.
The Progression: Instead of forcing you to conceptualize an idea from scratch, the core application structure and underlying blueprint will be provided directly to your team.
The Execution: Over a focused 24-hour timeline, your team will follow a progressive, milestone-driven sprint. You will be tasked with building and deploying specific features of the application one by one. Successfully unlocking and completing each feature sequentially will navigate your team to full application development by the end of the event.

Challenges
ROUND 1: Progressive Feature Sprints
Teams participate in fast-paced feature sprints where they design, develop, and deploy functional product features within a limited timeframe. Each deployed feature is reviewed by the judging panel for functionality, technical implementation, and overall quality. A feature must be successfully reviewed for technical accuracy by the judging panel before the team’s subsequent development phase is unlocked.
ROUND 2: Optimisation and Open Innovation
Participants focus on system performance, UI/UX refinement, cloud deployment, and the integration of optional innovative features to enhance the product's overall value and usability.
ROUND 3: Final Demonstration and Evaluation
Teams present their fully deployed applications to the judging panel. Participants will articulate their architectural decisions, demonstrate their integrated features, and participate in a structured technical Q&A session.
